How to install solar sensor wall light?

The solar wall light is designed to be mounted on the wall with a direct view of the sky above, as the solar panel sits on top, perpendicular to the base on which the unit is mounted. The device itself is tilted a little, while the motion sensor power button and LED display are tilted much more. The back of the unit has a small mounting hole for fixing the unit to the wall.

The main principle of using the solar sensor wall light is that it will charge itself during the day and glow at night after installation. Therefore, you do not need to perform any operations other than installation.

Installation steps

  1. Choose a suitable location for the light, such as a garden, garage, wall or back door. Ensure that the location is exposed to direct sunlight and that the solar unit should be exposed to sunlight for at least 6-8 hours to fully charge the batteries.
  2. Mark the position of the screw mounting holes on the chosen surface and fix them in place according to the surface structure. If the holes are drilled to check that there are no hidden pipes or cables, they should only be installed on a solid, flat, horizontal surface using suitable permanent fixings.
  3. Once the light is installed, it will automatically switch on at night thanks to its built-in light sensor. During the day, the light will also switch off automatically when the sensor detects sufficient sunlight.
  4. PIR function: At night, using this stored energy, the light will automatically switch on for 30 seconds when the motion sensor detects motion. 30 seconds later, if no further motion is detected, the light will automatically switch off. The brightness of the light depends on its location, weather conditions and seasonal lighting availability. The motion sensor detects movement over approx. 90 degrees at a distance of approx. 3-5 m. It is important to note that the PIR motion sensor needs to be pointed at the position where you want to detect any motion. Avoid pointing the sensor at objects that may move with the wind, such as shrubs or hanging decorations. A shady or covered area will interfere with battery charging and may shorten the operating time of the light at night. Solar lights should not be placed near external lighting such as street lights, which may affect the activation of the internal sensors once they become dark.
  5. If you notice that the light does not turn on or off as expected, this may be due to a low battery level or a faulty solar panel. It is recommended that you remove the light from the wall before replacing the batteries and try replacing them or cleaning the solar panel to fix the problem.
